Are school holidays shown?

Yes. In the calendar settings, choose your country (France, Belgium, Switzerland) and then your area, and school holidays are highlighted alongside public holidays. Each display can be turned on separately, and the dates come from an official source updated every year: no more hunting for them when the school year starts.

Do I need Premium to use the calendar?

No, and it has no cap: you can create as many events as you like on the free plan. It includes all 4 views (list, day, week, month), real-time sharing between household members, custom event types with their emoji, the member filter, public holidays, school holidays, the home screen widget and Google, Outlook and iCloud sync. Recurring events, reminders, birthdays in the calendar and PDF export are Premium features.

Does the calendar sync with Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud?

Yes. You can connect one or more Google, Outlook or iCloud accounts right from the calendar settings, on the free plan. Events come into Melimelo automatically, and the colour you chose is kept so you can tell each calendar apart.

How do recurring events work?

Create an event, then open it for editing and choose “Create recurring event”. You can set a weekly or monthly frequency, more specific patterns like “every other Wednesday”, and an automatic end after a number of occurrences or on a given date. This feature is included in the Premium plan.

Can I filter the calendar to one household member?

Yes. Tap the funnel icon in the calendar bar, pick a member, and only their schedule is shown. This filtered view is available on the free plan. Tap the funnel again to bring back the full view.

Are birthdays and routines handled here or in other modules?

In their own modules. Birthdays and Routines each have a dedicated module, separate from Calendar. The Birthdays module keeps the list of dates that matter (family, friends, the kids’ friends), with its own timeline view. The Routines module handles what comes round regularly (cleaning, watering, laundry). Calendar keeps events at a set time (appointments, activities, holidays). Together, the 3 modules frame household life, each with its own logic.
